The Developers of Dragon’s Dogma Will Announce a New Game Soon

Dengeki PlayStation recently sent a questionnaire to 107 game developers, including Dragon’s Dogma director Hideaki Itsuno, and they’ve this week published the replies they received.

According to one of Itsuno-san’s answers to the questionnaire, the Dragon’s Dogma team currently have “several games in the pipeline”, and one of them, which is in its “last stages” of development, will be announced “soon”.

We recently wrote about Dragon’s Dogma Online being trademarked with the OHIM in Europe, and the Dragon’s Dogma website hinting at a potential follow-up, so … is that what it is? A late announcement and a frenetic volley of information up to the launch would certainly be a good way to market the game. It would be a refreshing change of pace.

I’m not confident that’s what this announcement’s about: the game to be announced is apparently near-finished, but they’ve only recently trademarked Dragon’s Dogma Online.

So what the hell is the announcement going to be? Itsuno-san has my attention.
