Three Chaos;Child Gameplay Videos Released for Xbox One Version

5pb. has put out three new videos that illustrate Chaos;Child, the fourth installment in their Science Adventure series and the sequel to Chaos;Head.

The Xbox One- and Japan-exclusive visual novel was originally meant to debut on November 27, but was delayed until December 18 for undisclosed reasons. My guess is it was simply decided that the game would sell better closer to Christmas.

If it’s not clear: players choose whether to be positive or negative in their interactions during the story, and this will affect how the narrative progresses.

The game is a psychological suspense, like Chaos;Head was, but includes more horror elements. Chaos;Child‘s story takes place in 2015, six years after the events of Chaos;Head; people begin to die in unconnected incidents … except, their deaths seem to coincide with similar deaths that happened in 2009.

If you haven’t seen the official trailer, jump over here.

This will be the first visual novel to come to the Xbox One. I’d say it’s a smart move on the part of the local Xbox team but … even a new Science Adventure installment is unlikely to get Japan interested in the system. Let’s hope the game makes its way to Western shores, eventually.

Chaos;Child looks like quality stuff, if the videos are anything to go by. Without further ado, enjoy them for yourself.
